Making a special gift for someone you love can be an overwhelming task. But here, I'm bringing you a simple, affordable, and meaningful gift.

Picture Framing is yet, the most special gift. It's a reminder of a time, a place, and a memory. What we leave behind immortalizes us. It makes a space to remember what happened.

Today I'm going to show you a simple step-by-step guide on how to make a frame using keyboard letters:

Keyboard lettering in picture framing ideal for gifts

When thinking of a gift for someone you love, nothing is more thoughtful than making or customizing something with your own hands. You can sense the feeling of happiness, exctiement and jow that spreads across someone's face when they recieve a chosen and meaninful present, so I decided to make a series of videos about framing different items. You might or might not have them at home, but there is always an second hand shop to look for an item, right?

While we haven't reached the section on crafting your own frame just yet, I encourage you to stick around on this page. In the near future, I will be introducing an online course that will guide you through the entire process of creating a frame from start to finish.

Step 1: Select and Arrange Letters, follow this picture framing tips.

Disassemble the keyboard and tap into your creativity by repurposing its letters. Set your imagination free as you explore the possibilities these letters offer. If you're looking for inspiration, check out our Pinterest board here It's full of ideas to fuel your creativity.

Step 2: Prepare the frame.

If crafting a frame from scratch seems challenging, consider starting with a pre-made frame. Disassemble the frame and clean the glass to ensure there are no smudges or fingerprints. Place the letters on the matboard and make sure to center and align them.

  • Use a colour matboard it provides a simple and proffesional finis to your work, find it here.

  • Use super glue to attach the letters.

I've chosen a matboard in a subtle light yellow shade for this frame. This acid-free matboard not only safeguards your artwork but also serves as an excellent backing, preventing any potential damage to your valuable piece.

STEP 3: Spacers.

I position spacers along the sides of the frame - Foamcore. This creates ample space for the letters. This prevents the letters from touching the glass. It also creates a floating effect, adding depth to your frame.

STEP 4: Colour.

Don't forget to splash some color onto your frame! I love playing with every acrylic color under the sun. It's not about making your frame pop. It's about ensuring that every pair of eyes that lands on it can't help but notice. Here's where the fun begins. Grab some acrylic paint and let your creative side loose. Give your frame a vibrant makeover. Trust me, it's the perfect way to add a touch of personality and charm!

You may have started this creative journey for personal fulfillment. Or you may have started it as a thoughtful gift. These framed keyboard letters transcend their individual characters. They show how connections impact us. They also reveal the aesthetic intricacies of our digital interactions. Take a moment to appreciate your framed masterpiece. Each letter contributes to a unique narrative. Every frame is a distinctive reflection of cherished messages.

With these picture framing tips in mind, you're well-equipped to transform your artwork into stunning masterpieces. Stay tuned for more insights and inspiration from Artlock, as we continue to explore the art of framing together.
